Booking

Are deposits refundable?
Booking deposits are non-refundable. We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance. The £20 security deposit taken on arrival for Pixie Hut stays is refunded on departure.
Can I extend my stay once I've arrived?
Yes, subject to availability. Come and speak to us when you arrive and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Can I bring a tent, caravan, or motorhome?
Yes, tents, caravans, and motorhomes are all welcome. Electric hookups are available at £5.50 per day.
Do you accept stag or hen groups?
No. We don't accept stag or hen groups. This is a family campsite and we take the quiet and quality of everyone's stay seriously.
How do I pay?
We accept credit card or cheque. Cheques should be made payable to Stoke Barton Farm Campsite.

Pitches & facilities

How much is electric hookup?
Electric hookup is £5.50 per day.
What are the shower facilities like?
We have private shower cubicles with plug sockets, so you can charge your phone or shaver while you shower. Hot water is included.
Can I charge my phone on site?
Yes. Phone charging is available on site for 50p. All proceeds go to the North Devon Hospice.
Can I hire a brazier?
Yes. Brazier hire is available from £2.00 per day.
Are there washing-up facilities?
Yes, we have washing-up sinks, outdoor taps, and bin facilities on site.
Can I hire windbreakers?
No. We don't hire windbreakers. You're welcome to bring your own.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. Dogs are welcome, up to 2 per pitch, at £2.50 per dog per night. Dogs must be kept on leads and under control at all times. (We don't hire dogs. Sorry.)

Beach & area

How far is it to the beach?
Hartland Quay is approximately 15–20 minutes' walk from the campsite, along the South West Coast Path.
Is the beach safe for children?
Hartland Quay has a mixture of sand and rock pools and is generally safe for children in calm conditions. There are no lifeguards, so please take care.
Can I surf nearby?
Yes. There are surfing beaches within driving distance, including Saunton Sands and Croyde.
Where can I eat nearby?
The Hartland Quay Hotel serves food until 9pm. We'd recommend eating there before walking back up to the campsite if you're arriving late, especially if you're walking the coastal path.
What's the mobile signal like?
Vodafone and EE tend to have the best signal in this area. Other networks can be patchy. This is not London, there are no 24-hour services out here.

On site rules

Can I have a supermarket delivery?
No. We don't accept supermarket deliveries to the site.
Can I use my own BBQ?
Yes, provided it's raised off the ground or on a stand. No disposable BBQs directly on the grass.
Can I fly a drone?
No. Drone flying on or over the site is not permitted.

Getting here

Can I just follow the sat-nav?
Not entirely. The postcode EX39 6DU will get you to the right general area, but we'd recommend reading our full directions on the Find Us page rather than relying solely on sat-nav.
What's the postcode?
EX39 6DU. But please read the directions on our Find Us page, sat-nav alone may not get you all the way in.

Local essentials

Hartland Surgery

The local GP surgery on The Square in Hartland village, around 2 miles from the campsite. Visitors are asked to contact their own GP in the first instance, who can send a prescription to a nearby pharmacy if needed.

Hartland Post Office

Located on Fore Street in the village, the post office handles all the usual services including parcels, stamps and cash. Opening times vary so worth checking ahead.

The Pop In

The local convenience store on Fore Street, open seven days a week from early morning. Stocks a good range of everyday essentials, fresh produce, newspapers and an off licence.
